Workshop Synopsis
Stories Within: Reframing Life Experiences Through Art and Expression
Throughout our lives, we encounter various events, emotions, and learning moments. Together, these experiences form our rich and unique life stories. The fragments of these experiences and the accompanying emotional details accumulate, adding texture to our lives and shaping our very existence. Yet sometimes, these fragments and emotions may be repressed, overlooked, or confused, leaving us feeling lost or stuck. To regain ownership of our experiences, we must find ways to explore and make sense of them.
This workshop provides a safe and supportive space for participants to use various forms of media to break through psychological defenses, release emotional blocks, and re-examine meaningful life experiences. Whether through artistic creation or other expressive forms, media becomes a channel for our inner voices, allowing us to engage more deeply with the stages and moments that define us.
During this process, we will explore how creative media can be used for self-healing and personal growth. Through sharing and interaction, participants will not only connect more deeply with their own inner world but also draw inspiration and strength from others’ stories. This workshop is especially beneficial for helping professionals, as working with creative media can enhance their understanding of clients’ life contexts, enabling them to offer more appropriate and compassionate support.
A special focus of this workshop will be on the impact of bullying experiences. Bullying not only leaves a profound mark on psychological well-being but may also shape the trajectory of a person’s entire life. We will explore how media can be utilised to express and release the emotional pressures caused by bullying, and how the creative process can be a pathway to rebuilding confidence and self-worth. Participants will have the opportunity to share their own experiences and gain support and empowerment through collective reflection.
You are warmly invited to join this workshop and discover the transformative power of creative media. Whether you are seeking personal healing or wish to use these tools to better support others, this is an opportunity not to be missed. Let us come together to re-examine the past and embrace the future through creation and expression.
