Alessandro Di Lullo

Alessandro is the Co-founder of SuperCharger Ventures, a leading EdTech accelerator with offices in Singapore and London, dedicated to support founders as they grow their business, raise funding and expand internationally. 

Previously, he was Director of Academia & Entrepreneurship at Centre of Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship. He has extensive experience in advising governments and large institutions in APAC and MENA on large scale education programs focusing on digital transformation, as well as leading universities on EdTech adoption. 

Academically, he has established the first Fintech & Entrepreneurship course at EDHEC Business School and teaches at a number of leading universities in both Europe and Asia. Alessandro is also a Fellow at the Asian Institute of International Financial Law at the University of Hong Kong. 

Alessandro has been working the development of leading online courses on the topic of Fintech and Edtech that have upskilled 150,000+ people globally.

Building AI Literacy: Framing Session for Educators to Develop their Understanding of AI Concepts and Applications 

Celine Chew is an Affiliate Faculty of SMU Academy. As a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and Head of Learning and Development at Straits Interactive, Celine provides insights into the behavioural change and learning required for teams to embrace change initiatives. The PDPA is one such initiative that requires businesses to learn new practices to meet compliance. Celine has extensive training experience internationally and specialises in the social, emotional and cognitive aspects of learning. She is also an executive coach to senior executives in multinational as well as regional companies.

Celine graduated with a distinction in MSc (Social Cognition) from University College London, Postgraduate Diploma in Education (NIE, NTU), BSc (NUS) and is a certified Master Practitioner in NLP, Coach and Values-Based Leadership Trainer.

Empowered Learning: Fostering Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Flourishing in Schools in the Age of AI

Jana’s passion is facilitating well-being through better awareness, relationships, engagement and meaning. Jana’s extensive travel, including having lived in multiple countries, enabled her to develop her cultural sensitivity, resilience and empathy – psychological capacities that support her passion and work.

Her multidisciplinary background in organisational and intercultural communication, positive psychology, coaching and mindfulness has fashioned her expertise in developing and delivering evidence-based, culturally applicable programmes in numerous organisational contexts.

As a positive psychology practitioner, she advocates a strengths-based approach in guiding individuals, teams and organisations to develop positive behaviours that cultivate resilient and flourishing organisations. Jana has worked with organisations of all sizes, including Standard Chartered, Meta (formerly Facebook), SingTel, PayPal, A*Star and National Heart Centre. Jana earned her Master of Science in Applied Positive Psychology at the Anglia Ruskin University (UK) with a focus on Positive Organisational Behaviour, specifically Psychological Capital (Hope, Efficacy, Resilience, Optimism).

She holds a postgraduate diploma in Positive Organisational Psychology and Leadership from The School of Positive Psychology in Singapore, where she is currently the director of academic and training development. Jana is also certified in SPARK Resilience Training, Positive Psychology Coaching and NOVA – Community Crisis Training.

Karen is the Director of Business Impact & Solutions Architecture at Tigerhall, overseeing all things tied to business impact measurement for clients and building effective solutions for organizational enablement and change management needs for clients across APAC, EMEA and the US. She has supported over 40 companies, including Fortune 500 organizations & MNCs. Karen serves as an advisor to clients, staying updated on industry trends, conducting competitor analysis, and refining solutions and success measurement.

Karen has extensive experience in instructional and custom learning intervention design. She was previously with EMERITUS Institute of Management, an online education platform that offers high-quality online courses from top-rated universities. She also spent 5 years at a private educational firm, The Learning Lab, where she specialized in developing the annual English curriculum plan based on consumer demands and market trends.

She holds a master's degree in education, where she has a specialisation in curriculum design.

Ethical Use of AI: Navigating the Moral Landscape of Teaching and Learning

Gerry is an Executive Director in Deloitte’s Cyber Risk Advisory practice, specialising in Cybersecurity and Risk Management.  He has over 25 years of experience in Cybersecurity advising clients on how to adopt technology innovations in a safe and controlled environment.

He runs the Cyber Emerging Tech which includes addressing risks arising from technology such as algorithmic decision-making (AI/Machine Learning).  His other areas of specialisation cover building Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programmes in both the IT and OT space to address the threat and regulatory landscape for private and public sectors.  He also runs the Detect & Respond services to help clients address the proactive need to assess their technology environment and incident response where needed.

Exploring AI Tools: Interactive Session for Educators to Experiment with AI Technologies

 

Dr Jim Wagstaff has called Singapore home for nearly 20 years. He is an educator and entrepreneur whose practical experience, teaching practice, and research expertise centre on digital pedagogy–specifically, the application of AI in teaching and learning. In 2018, Jim co-founded Noodle Factory, an AI-powered teaching and learning platform designed to support differentiated instruction.

Jim earned his master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Liverpool (UK). His ongoing research focuses on how educators can reliably and safely harness the power of digital capabilities to support teaching and learning.  Jim has also earned his post-doctoral diploma in academic practice in coordination with the Fellowship for Higher Education in the UK, where his current work includes action research related to the impact of generative AI in teaching and learning.

Through his work with Noodle Factory, Jim has the opportunity to work with teachers and instructors at all levels of education across many disciplines and faculties. Jim has advised and assisted dozens of secondary and tertiary educational institutions and educators in applying generative and conversational AI to teaching and learning. These include institutions and educators in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Jim is also currently involved in supporting the work of action researchers studying the impact of generative AI in teaching and learning at the University of London, Lusófona University (Portugal), and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) in Singapore.

Kevin is the Founder and CEO of data privacy firm Straits Interactive, which runs the region’s largest network of privacy professionals, the Data Protection Excellence (DPEX) Network. A recognised expert in the field of data privacy and Governance, Kevin has consulted and trained intensively in data protection and privacy over the past eight years. He has been engaged by data protection regulators in ASEAN countries to share his expertise. In addition, he has co-designed 20+data protection courses with the Singapore Management University over the past three years to train future talent. Kevin holds a MSc, ACTA as well as multiple professional certifications with IAPP, Exin and OCEG. Kevin Shepherdson specialises in Data protection; Governance, Risk management and Compliance.

About the Workshop:

In this expert workshop, learners will have the opportunity to explore the innovative functionalities and capabilities of AI tutors, including AI versions of Steve Jobs and Lee Kuan Yew. Participants will also be introduced to productive AI tools like composition markers and lesson builders. Through interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities, they will gain firsthand experience of how large language models (LLMs)  can revolutionize the education landscape and how chatbots and AI tutors are created.


The workshop will begin with an overview of Gen AI, the five stages of LLM, highlighting their unique features and how they can be integrated into educational settings. Learners will then have the opportunity to engage with the AI companions through live demonstrations and roleplays with chatbots, experimenting with different scenarios to experience their creative and collaborative capabilities. By the end of the workshop, learners will have a deeper understanding of how AI tutors can enhance creativity and collaboration in education and will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to create and integrate these tools to enhance the learning process.

Jacqueline is the Founder and Managing Director of Sequoia Group, a Leadership and Organisation Development consultancy whose mission is to create organisations that are worthy of people’s commitment. Bringing together a rich blend of knowledge and skills from the fields of strategic planning, leadership development, strengths-based change and organisation learning, Jacqueline has designed and facilitated many leadership and organisation and development interventions in the past two decades as a strategic planning facilitator, leadership consultant, trainer and coach.  More recently, this includes the National Healthcare Group, Keppel Group, Economic Development Board, NTUC First Campus, Singapore Polytechnic and Sports Singapore. Mr Simon Reynolds is a senior education consultant at Principals Academy with expertise in curriculum  development and implementation, pedagogy and assessment and special education. He was a deputy director at the Curriculum Planning and Development Division of the  Ministry of Education for 11 years working on curriculum development and effective curriculum implementation through appropriate pedagogy and assessment. Currently, he consults on curriculum design, assessment, and evaluation for Special Education Schools, conducts teacher and parent training for mainstream schools  and is as a part-time lecturer and practicum supervisor at the National Institute of Education. He also works on behavioural management  and intervention. When time permits, he occasionally returns to the classroom as a relief teacher to keep connected to classroom realities. Mr Reynolds holds Masters Degrees in English Studies and Autism Studies and A Graduate Certificate in Behavioral Analysis.

Dr Zoe Boon has served in MOE for more than three decades in diverse school settings. Prior to her first appointment as Principal of Merlimau Primary School from 1998 to 2001, Dr Boon completed her Diploma in Education Administration and was awarded the Ruth Wong and the Singapore Educational Administration Society Book Prizes. She received her PhD based on her dissertation “The Making of School Principals in Singapore” in 2005 and was then appointed as Principal of Anglican High School from 2005 to 2010. In addition to training, consultancy, professional sharing at local and international conferences and seminars, she contributes towards the training of pre-service teachers, middle and school leaders. She has written several research papers and book chapters related to principalship, coaching, mentoring, learning organisation, and teacher training.

Her book “Singapore School Principals: Leadership Stories” was published in 2018. She recently graduated as a trained Coach for coaching individuals in the education and private sector. She is also a certified coach.

Emmanuel Bernet

Dr. Emmanuel Bernet is a French-Canadian primary school teacher and trainer with over 25 years of experience. Additionally, he has worked as a field researcher for more than a decade and is also currently restarting his career as an apprentice psychotherapist. He holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Montreal. Over the years, Dr. Bernet has developed recognized expertise in various areas, including school motivation, classroom management, the integration of technology in education, and professional development practices. This expertise has led him to serve as an independent consultant and teacher trainer in Quebec's public schools and, later, in French schools abroad across the Asia-Pacific region. Since 2013, he has been a valuable member of the International French School of Singapore (IFS), where he serves as an educational psychology and technology adviser, as well as a professional learning coordinator. At IFS, Dr. Bernet also collaborates on educational research projects with various universities. His affiliations include membership in the Observatory on Wellbeing at School (OBE) at Lyon University in France, in the Singapore Positive Education Network (SPEN), in a distinguished research center on teacher training and the teaching profession in Canada (CRIFPE), and in the International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis (IIBA). Dr. Bernet is happy to assist public schools, teachers, parents, and students in Singapore and in the region, leveraging his expertise. To further refine his skills, he is currently pursuing a Professional diploma at The School of Positive Psychology in Singapore, with the goal of obtaining a master's degree in counseling and psychotherapy at the University of East London.

Harish Pillay

Harish has over 30 years of experience in the IT industry, including 20 years with Red Hat in Singapore. He currently works with the AI Verify Foundation, an open-source software foundation focused on testing AI solutions for fairness, bias, and other best practices. Concurrently, Harish serves as the Chief Open Source Officer at TOOOPLE Pte Ltd, a platform that develops “Work Ready” IT professionals by bridging the expectations gap between graduates and the industry.


During his tenure at Red Hat, Harish held numerous roles and was the Head of the Open Source Program Office (APAC). He holds a MSEE and a BSCS from Oregon State University.


Harish's accolades include being inducted into the Council of Outstanding Early Career Engineers by Oregon State University in 2005, conferred as a Fellow of the Singapore Computer Society in 2009, named Distinguished Partner by Enterprise Singapore in 2013, and inducted as a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore in 2017.


From 2007 to 2014, he was an Adjunct Professor at Nanyang Technological University, teaching open tech, public policy, and ethics. Harish is also an avid hashman, a ham radio operator (9V1HP), and actively teaches the next generation about open source and technology

He started his teaching career with two clear areas of passion- to engage students in learning about the past and how it can guide them in living for the present and future, and develop students in values and competencies to participate as responsible citizens in our fast-evolving glocal geo-political landscape. Driven by a life-long passion for people development, Claire is known for having the gift of connecting with others across nationalities and cultures.

Claire is the Co-Founder and Lead Trainer of The Positive Movement, and has more than 10 years of experience in developing leadership, teambuilding, coaching, and emotional agility programs for both corporate clients and educational institutions globally.

The Positive Movement blends Positive Psychology, Somatics, and Ontological Coaching techniques to deliver truly all-rounded programs that address a person's mental, emotional, and physical touchpoints. Claire holds a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) at the University of Pennsylvania, and is also a professionally certified coach associate with US-based Newfield Network, one of the world’s leading coaching organizations.

Claire is an associate faculty at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), where she teaches Positive Education as well as Positive Psychology in Coaching.

Simon Leow is the co-founder of Happiness Initiative, a social enterprise dedicated to promoting happiness and well-being in Singapore and the region.

Simon is fascinated with the science of well-being. He believes that well-being skills can be made accessible to everyone.

Simon oversees the research and development department at Happiness Initiative. He loves to use data to build a culture of well-being in organisations and communities.

His strengths include creativity, love for learning, and kindness. His purpose is to build a community that promotes well-being so that individuals, organisations, and communities can thrive.

Simon holds a Master's in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. A fun fact about him is that he loves to live off-grid in a tiny house. He loves nature, camping, vanlife, and outdoor cooking.

Atima Joshi is an experienced educator and has been a part of the EtonHouse Education Group since 2003. She has held various leadership positions including Principal (Middleton International School), Vice-Principal of EtonHouse International School Broadrick and International Baccalaureate Primary Years’ Programme (IBPYP) Coordinator, coordinator positions for different subject areas as well as grade levels. Atima is an approved IB educator and consultant. She has also held the Chair position for Singapore-Malaysia International Baccalaureate PYP Network. She is regularly invited to speak in regional educational conferences across the Asia-Pacific region, deliver professional development workshops for educators and has been a member of various pedagogical committees and academic boards. In her various positions as classroom and subject teacher, she has taught students in various age ranges including early years.  

Atima holds a Masters in Education from Australia and is a firm believer in lifelong learning and continual growth. Her passion, creativity and enthusiasm have enabled her to create holistic learning environments that have nurtured and inspired her students, staff and parent community.  

You may find her curiously exploring bugs with children or splashing in puddles with them amidst joyful peals of laughter! A strong believer in the power of curiosity, positive psychology and mindfulness, Atima believes in savouring life as it comes!

Maria Lamrani is an educator, author, and transformational leader with a passion for unlocking the potential of every child. With over 20 years of diverse international experience, I strive to blend a deep passion for learning with the latest insights from neuroscience. My journey has spanned continents, from Europe to Africa and Asia, allowing me to serve as a teacher, trainer, and principal and fueling my desire to illuminate the minds of the next generation. My interaction with students of various age groups has honed my expertise, with a particular resonance found in Early Childhood Education. My fascination with the intersection of neuroscience and education has blossomed in this field, revealing profound implications for teaching methodologies.In addition to being an educator and trainer, I am a dedicated author of children’s books, using my words to inspire and enlighten on essential topics impacting the well-being of children and parents alike. My global experiences have enriched my perspective and deepened my appreciation for the cultural nuances inherent in educational environments. To ensure that every child has a safe and supportive place to learn and develop, I am committed to promoting a more holistic view of education and to designing learning spaces that are reflective, evidence-based, and welcoming to all. With the common goal of expanding the scope and significance of early childhood education, I cordially invite my fellow educators to embark with me on an eye-opening journey into novel, child-centred approaches.
